The speed is automatically adjusted using the PWM signal sent by the miner. The simulator increases the fan speed when the temperature is high and decreases it when the temperature is low. This fan simulator is solely for simulating fan speed and is completely noiseless. It is a small muffler accessory that should be used with the integrated muffler but does not provide any cooling effect. Cooling for the Avalonminer requires the use of water cooling or centrifugal fans.
